Ldpe Natural Regrind Blow Moulding

Low Density Polyethylene LDPE is also known with short name is LDPE. It is an economical option for many applications requiring low temperature flexibility, toughness, and durability.

With the reasonable price to manufacture, LDPE become the least expensive, most flexible (more than HDPE), and has good clarity in film form. However, it has low temperature impact resistance and the least heat resistance with a maximum service temperature of 160° to 180°F. LDPE plastic is also susceptible to stress cracking, especially by detergents.

LDPE’s easy machinability makes it a good choice for fabricated parts where corrosion and chemical resistance is required, although it can be attacked by strong oxidizing acids. LDPE is available natural (milky white) and black (recommended for improved durability in direct sunlight or outdoor exposure). Some sizes are available in various colors.

LDPE is lighter and more flexible than HDPE, which makes it a great choice for prosthetic devices, most of which are either drape formed or vacuum formed. Its impact resistance makes it ideal for impact pads, while its ease of machinability, thermoforming performance and resistance properties make it a great choice for fabricated parts where impact, chemical, or corrosion resistance is demanded. Ldpe Clear Film Scrap

In addition to having no moisture absorption, LDPE meets food handling guidelines making it ideal for manufacturing various containers, bottles, bags and certain laboratory equipment. Beside the natural color, LDPE scrap also has many kind of colors. Piedmont Plastics offers LDPE in sheet and rod. Standard sheet size is 48 x 96 and is available in thicknesses ranging from 1/16” to 2”. Rods are offered in diameters of 1” to 12” and custom lengths are available by request.
